Our tenth annual parcel drive "Christmas Joy"

Ukraine remains just as it was, a politically instable country, and any fundamental improvement in living conditions for the people is currently not on the horizon. Between 80 and 90 percent of the inhabitants of Transcarpathia are unemployed. The average monthly income there is between 80 and 100 dollars. Pensions are between 60 and 70 dollars. In the vast majority of the families, therefore, giftgiving is the absolute exception, and the joy over a surprise from distant Germany is even greater.

It makes no differemce if you are among those who are the regular breadwinners for a large family, or if this year you decide for the first time to bring unforgettable Christmas joy to children in Transcarpathia - you can bring a smile to a child's eyes with each and every package, and perhaps often give a little hope and love to entire family.

And so we ask you very sincerely for your support for this parcel drive "Christmas Joy"! Give these children a little hope and help out with your donation!

This charity drive is so simple that everyone can participate. We are delighted for every idea in which school classes, kindergartens, businesses, community clubs or sporting groups can take part.

It is so easy to give a a wonderful suprise at Christmas to children in need.

We will collect the donations and convey the money to Ukraine. Our partners in the parishes of the Reformed Church in Transcarpathia will purchase the gifts. The people at that location know best what the children need, and what they will be most thrilled to receive. The gifts will be lovingly packaged and distributed to the children.

But your contribution is the most important thing in bringing a sparkle to the eyes of children!

Talk to your relatives and acquaintances about our Christmas package drive, get your neighbors, friends and co-workers excited about pitching in - and of course put your own donation toward the success of our common effort.
